Camden Town WFC will tackle Leyton Orient on Sunday at 2pm in the Greater London Women’s League JGM Trophy, with free tickets available for fans to watch the big match

IT’S “now or never” for Camden Town WFC as they prepare to tackle Leyton Orient this Sunday in the quarter-finals of the Greater London Women’s League JGM Trophy.

The club are hoping for a big turnout ahead of their home match at the impressive 1,500-capacity Maurice Rebak Stadium in Finchley. The competition represents Camden’s last chance of silverware this season, and head coach Harry Sherman has pulled out all the stops ahead of the 2pm kick-off – with video analysis of the opponents forming the basis of the technical training sessions the squad have undertaken.

Win or lose, however, the goal remains the same: to keep elevating the club to the next level.

Chairman Richard Mahoney said: “Over the last three years I have focused on driving the club forward in everything we do off the pitch, while Harry runs the football operations of the club on the pitch.

“For my part, this means signing commercial partnership deals, and subsequently investing in our training facilities as well as our matchday experience for our players and our fans. Very few clubs at this level of women’s football get to play in a stadium. We are very proud of where we are right now, but believe me when I say, there’s a lot more to come.”
