Chickenshed will be on stage at the Brunswick

BRITAIN’S Got Talent semi-finalists Chickenshed have been added to the bill for Thursday’s Go Greek event at the Brunswick Centre.

The theatre group wowed the judges with Alesha Dixon hitting her golden buzzer after being moved to tears by their auditions performance.

Go Greek starts at 6pm and runs until 10pm with free entertainment and lots of food to try.

John Themis, the marketing manager for the Brunswick, said:  “Our line-up for Go Greek was already incredible, but now with Chickenshed added to the line-up it has eclipsed all our expectations. They are inspirational and their performances shoot straight to the heart – I can’t wait for the public to see what they have in store first hand. This is going to be a very special event – our biggest and best ever that’s for sure.”

Chickenshed brings together people of all ages and from all backgrounds to produce outstanding theatre that entertains, inspires, challenges, and informs both audiences and participants alike.  Their mission is to create entertaining and outstanding theatre that celebrates diversity and inspires positive change. Performance is at the heart of everything they do and brings together all aspects of the company.

The theatre group were a ‘golden buzzer’ performance in the recent series of Britain’s Got Talent

They will be performing alongside a host of incredible Greek and Bulgarian artists including the sensational Christos Nikolopoulos, Ageliki Darra and Desi Slava. Uber-talented singers Panos Kalidis, Leo Spyrou and Mixalis Theodosiou will be performing iconic Greek hits and super DJ Andreas Michaelides will be on the decks playing a fusion of traditional and contemporary beats.

The Elite Greek Dancers will perform high-energy re-enactments of traditional Greek dances and Themis, The Greek Blues Man, will fuse Greek blues with his velvet voice and harmonica while Costas Rialas will have visitors transfixed with his phenomenal bouzouki skills. The ten-piece Enthimion Band will also be performing classic Greek songs to ensure everyone has a memorable Mediterranean night.

Participating Brunswick eateries will be offering  food al fresco from stalls outside their restaurant all for free while stocks last. These include Riding House Bloomsbury, Nando’s, Nostimo, Truedan, Hare & Tortoise, Pelican State, Slim Chickens, Leon, Tian Tian, Marisco and Torta, Starbucks and MEATliquor.

There will also be free plays at Funland Amusement Arcade for a limited time.
