GREAT Britain’s winter Olympians weren’t the only superstar athletes to return home this week with gleaming gongs hanging around their necks.

Brothers Luan, Liam and Luca Veras each boasted four new gold medals to add to their collection after conquering America.

The trio, who have won countless World, European and British titles in karate, judo and boxing, spent three weeks in California, where they dominated their respective age groups at the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Pan Kids Championships, the Dream Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Tournament and the San Diego International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Open.

“The experience was definitively beneficial for their development,” said their delighted dad, Sensei Raphael Veras.

“They trained for almost two hours twice a day. And during their well-earned breaks they got the chance to embrace the sunny Californian weather, beach life and skateboarding.”

The Veras brothers are looking for sponsorship to help with the escalating costs of training and competing in competitions across the world. Anyone interested should email Raphael at verasbros@gmail.com for further details.
