A TOP team of boxers from St Pancras ABC will be looking to get the new season in full swing this weekend when they travel to Feltham to take part in the London Development Championships.

Luke Williams, Corey Samuels, Santino Jaworski and Tommy Silver are all expected to step between the ropes at Springwest Academy. Clubmate Sonny Devine was also lined up to fight but had to withdraw at the last minute.

“Unfortunately Sonny has Covid so he’s going to miss out,” explained Saints’ head coach CJ Hussein.

“The rest of the boys are all really looking forward to it.

“Of course everybody wants to win. But this competition isn’t about winning or losing, it’s a chance for us to see how the boxers are developing and where their fitness levels are. Ultimately we are all just really excited to be back in action for a new season.”
