FIVE goals and five different goalscorers: Camden & Islington United (above) certainly put on a five-star showing in their first-ever home game in the Premier Division of the Middlesex County Football League on Saturday.

Sharpshooters Stephen Ojeda, Adam Wurie, Nestor Bokuli, Connor McQuillan and James Briars all found the back of the net as the top-flight debutants recorded a resounding 5-1 victory over Feltham FC at Hackney Marshes.

It’s only early doors, but the win leaves Candi United fourth after two games. They drew 1-1 away to Cricklewood Wanderers in their season opener, with Karl Usher’s goal being cancelled out late on.

Meanwhile, at the wrong end of the table, Camden United are still awaiting their first points of the new campaign after losing 3-0 away to Shepherd’s Bush on Saturday and 2-0 to Kodak in their opening fixture.

Thanks to a helping hand from borough rivals Candi United, however, Camden have avoided being bottom of the league – that honour instead belonging to Feltham FC.
