Celebrate the Grand Opening of Hampstead Court Care Home in St John’s Wood

On Thursday 5th October, staff and residents at Hampstead Court Care Home in St John’s Wood were delighted to celebrate the official grand opening of the home to the local community and further afield.

Friends, loved ones, community supporters and professionals received a red carpet welcome, enjoying complimentary arrival drinks and canapés whilst a live pianist performed. The weather was on the home’s side as the grand opening extravaganza began in the garden where residents and guests marvelled at entertainment from a stilt walker, juggler, magician, and fire eater.

The talented culinary team prepared a delicious feast for all to enjoy before special guest Deputy Mayor of Camden, Cllr Samata Khatoon, performed the ribbon-cutting ceremony commenting, “It gives me great pleasure to declare Hampstead Court officially open. The team provide a luxury environment that makes residents feel comfortable and safe, and it is important to recognise the service Hampstead Court provides to our local area, supporting a diverse range of community members. We are proud to have the home in our Camden borough.”

Momota Khatoon, a member of the Henna Asian Women’s Group shared details about their link with Hampstead Court. The group was formed in 1982 by Asian women migrating from India, Pakistan and East Africa with the intention of bringing people together regardless of background. They have built on their services over the years, building strong relationships within the community, including with staff and residents at Hampstead Court. The group attends Hampstead Court weekly for various events and celebrations, building strong friendships among fellow community members.

Momota stated, “We are blessed to be able to come to Hampstead Court each week for our activities. The staff and residents are friendly and welcoming. I would like to thank Daniel and his team for giving us this opportunity; we are looking forward to continuing to build our community links together.”
