Consultation or obfuscation on the Peckwater centre?

Patients rallied at a demonstration with a warning to health chiefs: ‘Hands off our Peckwater!’

• MANY thanks for Tom Foot’s excellent report of our protest demo about the attempt to grab the Peckwater as a home for the dialysis unit displaced by the redevelopment of St Pancras Hospital, (Patients: ‘Hands off our Peckwater!’ March 21).

In the absence of any response from the NHS North Central London Integrated Care Board, Tom Foot quotes from a letter of theirs which states the redevelopment of St Pancras Hospital “was the subject of a major public consultation in 2018…”.

What a cheek!

That consultation didn’t say a single word about taking over the Peckwater for the dialysis unit. In fact it said the dialysis unit would be relocated in new premises on the St Pancras Hospital site.

What’s the right word for this, consultation or obfuscation?
