YOUNGSTERS from Thornhill School in Barnsbury made a big splash when they won the inaugural Islington Year 3 and Year 4 swimming gala finals. Boys and girls showed off their skills in a series of races, including freestyle, breaststroke and the backstroke – before taking part in medley and freestyle relays. After a day of fun competition, it was the young swimmers from the primary in Thornhill Road who were celebrating the loudest as they were crowned champions.
