Crews in Aberdare Gardens

TWENTY firefighters spent an hour dousing a flat blaze in South Hampstead on Friday.

The fire in a two-bedroom flat in Aberdare Gardens was brought under control by 5.15pm. Two people got out before the fire brigade arrived and were treated by ambulance crews.

The London Fire Brigade is advising residents to find out more about “hidden hazards” in the home using a “Home Safety Checker” on its website.
