A NORTH London rugby club has the perfect solution for women and girls looking to “try something new in 2022”.

Hampstead Ladies RFC are on the lookout for new members – and it doesn’t matter if you’ve never even looked at an egg-shaped ball before.

Recruitment officer Cecilia Peker, who was born and bred in Islington, says the club is on a mission to build ties with new communities.

“We love to give back to our community and support our players throughout life’s hardships, and the friendships we make through this club prove to last a lifetime,” she said.

“We’re just as keen to recruit people who are already a part of the rugby community as those who are part of our local community – and even further afield.

“Hampstead is a club for everyone, regardless of their background, and now is the perfect time to get involved and try something new.”
