HS2 debacle needs an inquiry
Thursday, 18th April
• THE Post Office inquiry has laid bare the shocking and callous behaviour of many civil servants and other government employees.
The experiences of the people harmed by the scandal are echoed by the thousands affected by the dismal HS2 project.
Will those latter victims have to wait decades before government does the right thing?
An incoming Labour administration could save billions and minimise the pain and injustice by promptly establishing an independent investigation of the entire HS2 debacle.
