I wish Andrew Feinstein and other independents the best in their campaign

• MARTIN Plaut’s attack on Andrew Feinstein in the CNJ is quite extraordinary, (Andrew Feinstein is not just any other Camden resident, March 21).

Andrew Feinstein is standing quite specifically on Sir Keir Starmer’s complicity in the killing that is taking place in Gaza, the Labour leader’s refusal to condemn Israel, and his willingness to accept whatever the Benjamin Netanyahu government tell him.

By any measure this is totally unacceptable.

As far as transparency goes, I remember Sir Keir originally refusing to divulge who had funded his leadership campaign.

Indeed only last week it transpired that Sir Keir had secretly begun his leadership campaign a full six months before the last election.

On the legitimacy of Sir Keir’s party, Martin Plaut outdoes himself.

Scores of socialists have been blocked, suspended, and expelled; shortlists have been rigged, candidates imposed, and even the mildest of criticisms has led to Labour Party members being removed.

That isn’t a representative party, Martin Plaut, it’s a political massacre of democracy.

I wish Andrew Feinstein and other principled independents the very best in their campaign.
