FITTINGLY kitted out in Arsenal shirts, meet north London’s latest “Invincibles” who are celebrating unbeatable silverware success.
Haverstock’s Year 7 girls’ football squad emulated the Gunners’ legendary Premier League champions of 2003/04 as they won the much-coveted Camden Shield without losing a single game.
Vanessa Duarte Marques was voted player of the tournament after showing tremendous versatility at both ends of the pitch – scoring a selection of great goals as a striker, while making crucial saves when called upon to go between the sticks.
Displaying excellent teamwork throughout the tournament, teammates Aminata Able-Thomas, Millie Brady, Michaela Duarte Marques, Marwa El Harti, Lacey Morahan, Chloe Palmer and Jada Kabongo also all played their part as Haverstock rounded off a memorable campaign held at their home pitch in Chalk Farm with six wins and two draws.
