Islington Borough Ladies Under-13s enjoyed an impressive away victory against Kensington Dragons
SHARPSHOOTER Syrah Langley-Bradshaw showcased her set-piece skills on Saturday to help inspire Islington Borough Ladies to an impressive win on the road.
Elifnaz Sakinmaz gave the Under-13s side the lead against Kensington Dragons from close range following some decisive build-up play from teammate Molly Thomson at Wormwood Scrubs Playing Fields.
Langley-Bradshaw then stole centre-stage when she picked out the top corner from a free-kick, before capping a player-of-the-match performance by coolly slotting home a penalty after Milena Vargas was brought down in the box.
Goalkeeper Keiti Goci capped the perfect away day for Mike Kelly’s side when she saved a penalty to ensure Islington earned a well-deserved clean sheet.
The mighty Reds are back on the road this weekend when they take on league leaders Most Wanted Elite in a 10am kick-off.
