• MARTIN Plaut seeks desperately to imply that Andrew Feinstein’s candidacy is some sort alien invasion / intervention in the upcoming election in Holborn & St Pancras, (Andrew Feinstein is not just any other Camden resident, March 21).

Simple reality is that Andrew Feinstein’s decision to stand as an independent was endorsed at a packed meeting in the Methodist Hall in Chetwynd Road, NW5. My impression is that most of those present were like me until a year ago members of the Labour Party.

I have to say whatever the shortcomings of OCISA they pale into insignificance against those of an allegedly broad church which has been captured by sectarians.

I should perhaps admit I to came to Camden from South Africa in the early 1960s.
