NORTH Middlesex will be looking to increase their lead at the top of the Premier Division table this weekend when they entertain Shepherd’s Bush at their Park Road ground in Crouch End.

Unsurprisingly, no fixtures in the Middlesex County Cricket League survived the persistent downpours on Saturday. It means that North Midd remain one point clear of closest rivals Brondesbury with just four matches to go.

Beating mid-table Shepherd’s Bush could prove a crucial moment in the campaign for North Midd, with Brondesbury travelling to third-place Ealing on the same day.

Should both North Midd and Brondesbury pick up wins, though, it will certainly make their head-to-head at Harman Drive next weekend, August 19, a mouthwatering match-up.

Elsewhere, Hampstead, who are currently eighth in the 10-team table, face a tough away day this weekend when they head to Arden Field to take on a Finchley side sitting just one league place and six points below them.
