Bloomsbury Festival starts on October 12, with assorted concerts featuring young artists in the schedule – playing venues like Senate House, the Foundling Museum, and Goodenough College. A group called the Goodensemble ambitiously tackle Mahler’s Das Lied von der Erde, 7.30pm, Saturday 12th (£12, cons £10). And there’s music and readings inspired by the Moon – with sitar virtuoso and occasional jazzer Baluji Shrivastav (pictured) – 8pm, Thursday 17th (£12, cons £10), Holy Cross Church, Cromer Street.
