A MURDER inquiry is under way after a 16-year-old boy was stabbed to death on Primrose Hill – just minutes before the arrival of the New Year.
Police officers administered first aid in the park before London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance paramedics arrived. Despite their efforts, the teenage was pronounced dead shortly before midnight.
The boy’s family have been informed, and police said they were being supported by specialist officers.

Extensive police cordons remain in place this morning (New Year’s Day) as officers conduct forensic examinations of the scene and the surrounding area.
A crowd had gathered on the hill – the summit offers famous views across London as fireworks explode across the city after the New Year bongs – and detectives want witnesses to come forward, including those who may have mobile phone footage.
