PLAYERS from Northumberland Lions have clawed out their own slice of history in the Chalk Farm Pool League after becoming the first club to be involved in not one, not two, but three successive perfect games.

League chairman Shaun Pollard (pictured) won both his singles game and his doubles match alongside teammate Tony Stevens on Monday as the Lions roared to a 9-0 win over Sir Robert Peel on their home table in King’s Cross.

It was the perfect response following their previous outing, which saw the Lions lose 9-0 against defending champions King’s Cross Hurricanes.

The run started with the Lions potting their way to a 9-0 win against The Crown Jewels at the end of October.

Needless to say, all eyes will be on their next league match, when they travel to nearby rivals Hurricane Potters on Monday, December 11.
