A CROSSING in Camden Town was turned into a rainbow as part of Pride 2020 on Saturday.

The council had resolved to take part in the main Pride march through London after joining the event with an official delegation for the first time last year.

But with large gatherings still not permitted due to the coronavirus, the celebrations – and the solidarity and discussion – continued online. “We can’t march but the fight for LGBT+ rights continues,” said regeneration chief Cllr Danny Beales, describing the markings as a “statement of hope and equality.
