ST PANCRAS ABC show-stopper Jermaine Dhliwayo signed off his season in style after landing yet another title over the weekend.

The highly rated 21-year-old has landed plenty of successes this year, the highlights of which included being crowned London Elite champion in March, and then going on to reach the semi-finals of the National Championships.

In a fitting final hurrah before taking a well-earned summer break, Dhliwayo added one more gong to his list of achievements as he won the Elite 63.5kg division at the Haringey Box Cup, which was held at Alexandra Palace.

Competing over three three-minute rounds, the Saints amateur stopped Taran Singh from Hoddesdon Boxing Academy in the quarter-finals on Friday, before returning to the ring on Saturday to gain a unanimous win over Erne Boxing Club’s Anthony Malanaphy in the semi-finals.

Saving his best till last, Dhliwayo then defeated army boxer Leon Moulds in the final on Sunday by way of a third-round stoppage. St Pancras head coach CJ Hussein said: “Jermaine was absolutely brilliant – outstanding.

“He wanted a fresh challenge so he moved up in weight for the contest having boxed at 60kg all season, and he looked stronger than ever. He’s such an asset to the gym and fully deserves all his success.”
