ARSENAL’S Emirates Stadium wasn’t the only ground that witnessed a nail-biting penalty shootout that sparked wild scenes of celebration.

On Saturday, Kentish Town FC Under-13s’ cup final against Priory Park in the Regent’s Park Youth League also went the distance.

Jo Henderson-Wade got on the end of Alfie Demetriou’s free-kick to give Town the lead, but Priory Park hit back to force penalties as the game finished 1-1.

Henderson-Wade, Henry McCarthy, Arthur Brand and Ardi Gerbeshi all then kept their cool from the spot as Town sealed a 4-1 victory to lift the silverware – and edge ever closer to completing a league and cup double.

“This is an unbelievable bunch of talented players,” said Kentish Town chairman Thomas Looney.

“A massive well done to the team, who have continued their unbeaten run all season.”

The club will now be hoping to close in on a cup quadruple, with their Under-10s and Under-14s both playing in their respective League Cup finals this Saturday, while Kentish Town’s Under-9s are playing in a semi-final.
