TWO theatre students have turned their talents towards creating a video letter to NHS workers from the people of Camden.

Sophie Munden and Elana Shyong who study applied theatre at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama have set up the project so everyone in the borough has a chance to send a message of thanks to NHS staff.

The pair have also set up the Camden Positivity Project Facebook page aimed at highlighting all the good that emerging from the coronavirus crisis.

Ms Munden, 24, said: “I have seen that your newspaper is doing a fantastic job of covering some of the positive things people are doing in the borough to keep up morale during this difficult time.

“I live in West Hampstead and Elana in Swiss Cottage and we are usually when we are studying we are out working creatively with the community.

“As we can’t do that at the moment we’ve joined groups helping people who have to isolate get their food and medicine and many have mentioned how they would like to find a way to gather thank yous.

Ms Munden added: “So we thought we could find a way of doing it online and do a collaboratively written video letter from the people of Camden to send to NHS workers in thanks for all of their hard work.

“Anyone who wants to include a message should visit our Facebook page, on there is a google doc, just fill it out and then send us a short video of you giving your message of thanks.”
